Well, after a year or two of my Dad trying to sell his boat, he finally is getting it sold. You know what that called for, ONE LAST VOYAGE!!!!!
Tanner and Kaydence headed over with Grandpa Rowley on Tuesday of last week, and I wasn't able to get over there until after work on Thursday, so I flew over that afternoon, which was kind of a bummer because it was a super short vacation for me, but I'll take what I can get.
Thursday night we made one last trip to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in San Diego, Tio Carlos, then hung out at the fire pits until the wee hours of the morning(more like 11:30, but that is considered the wee hours for us old folk), playing our own version of charades. It was quite the memorable evening to say the least!
Friday, we headed over to the beach. Kaydence is such a beach bum. She loves everything about it, including the seagulls, water, sea shells, random people, and the wide open spaces. We had a blast and the weather was absolutely gorgeous.
Friday afternoon/evening, I assisted my sister with a beach wedding. It was a simple wedding, but very beautiful. After our long hours of work, we came home to a nice relaxing hot tub and called it a night.
We headed back Saturday morning. It was such a short trip, but I am so glad we made the trip. We were so close to not going, but decided last second to make it work. We have had so many good memories on that boat and are going to miss it dearly, but it's a blessing it's finally being sold. We probably won't make it back to San Diego very often since it was free housing in the boat, so goodbye for now San Diego! Til we meet again...
