My little sister had her first baby, Jaxson Mckay Johnson, on December 8, 2011. I was one of the lucky ones that got to witness the birth. It was the most amazing experience I have ever witnessed. I also got to photograph his birth story. I am so glad I did. There were such tender moments that you cannot ever replace or replicate. When I look at these photos, I still get teary eyed. I am so proud of Alissa. She handled it so well. And Mckay was right by her side. He was so sweet. Alissa had a long drawn out labor and was on the verge of getting a C-secion, but luckily after many prayers, she delivered Jaxson naturally and he is beautiful and healthy. Congrats Alissa and Mckay! I love my new nephew. He is absolutely perfect!
Soon to be parents just found out that Alissa doesn't have to get a C-section afterall!

3 sweet words:
So beautiful! Thanks for sharing this! Made me teary eyed too. :)
I know I'm really behind but I stumbled across this post and have to tell you how amazing it is and how jealous I am. I have wanted pictures for each of my deliveries and have never gotten quite what I hoped for. I only got a handful after Emmuska was born, and only a couple truly horrible pictures after Samuel was born - with Liberty I asked my sisters to take pictures and ended up with a number I enjoy but overall they lacked the composition and ability to capture the emotion of the event like yours so beautifully do.
I wish I could have you around for my next delivery. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to keep having babies until I get the pictures I want. ;)
Thanks Stephanie! It was an awesome experience. I would love to photograph more birth stories. THey are simply miraculous to witness.
