Tanner got to take Kaydence to the Ishikawa Daddy Daughter Daughter Valentines Dance. Ishikawa asked me to shoot some photos for the yearbook, and I was secretly so excited so that I could be there to watch it. It was such a cute event and the kids felt so special.

Daddy Princess Royal Ball
Kaydence came to me one day and said, "Mom guess what? My friend went to a real life ball. She said it's in Buffalo New York. Can we go?" Then one night, I thought, why not have our own "real life ball". That's where it all began. I shared the idea with my sister in law and she was all about it. We decided to plan it together. It was so hard because there was so many people I wanted to invite, but it was becoming too big already and I didn't want to be overwhelmed. The amount of people that came was perfect. There was 12 Dad's and their daughters.
The event was actually very cheap, since I had so many hookups. We did it in my parents front yard. My sister and brother in law own their wedding rental business Top Notch Rentals, so they brought their stunning brand new barnwood tables and chairs. They were perfect! I had most of the table settings except the chargers and candles, which I purchased at Goodwill and spray painted. The greenery I actually got from a random person down the street from me! I saw their eucalyptus tree and it was exactly what I had in mind, so I knocked on their door and asked if they were okay with the bottom of the tree getting a trim. They were super nice and let me trim the bottom. I got a little crafty and made the material backdrop which I connected to my sister's barnwood doors. I also made some mason jar candle holders for the entry way. Mostly everything else we already had, so it was awesome! We transformed my parents golf cart into the "Royal Carriage" with decor from my house. For the food, I made assignments and all the Mom's brought a dish. The food turned out amazing. The Flank Steak cut like butter and had the best flavor! My sister also does videography, Bowman Films Co, so she was nice enough to film the evening! I cannot wait to see the video she will create. I talked her husband into being our DJ for the evening. We had introductions and the Mom's had written things about the Dad's and daughters beforehand, so he read off their introductions as they walked down the aisle. Also, my cousin's best friend does ballroom dance, so him and his wife came out and taught the Dad's and daughters some ballroom dance. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen.
We had so much help and it was so much fun! I definitely want to do this again! Maybe in a couple years. It was one of the most memorable nights thus far for Kaydence. She felt like the most important person in the world to Tanner. She was glowing. She asked me afterwards, "Mom, so since I went to a real life ball, does that make me a real life princess?" I told her she's always been a princess to Daddy. This one is definitely going down in the books! Thanks to all the helped make this night amazing. It couldn't have turned out any better.
