My sister, Nicole is pregnant and she has been wanting to plan a last vacation before she got too pregnant to travel and before her husband quits working for the airles. We've been needing to save up money, but she finally talked us into it because we were going to be able to use her buddy passes. We decided to go somewhere really cool, but all the cool places we wanted to go, the buddy passes wouldn't apply to them. Finally we decided, let's do a cheap cruise to Bahamas. So we booked it! Nicole couldn't book it yet because she needed to get her paycheck. The week after we booked it, Nicole told me she needed to tell me something. I had a feeling it was about the trip. She said she went to the doctor and they realized they cannot go to the Bahamas because of Zika Virus! We were so bummed. We looked into getting refunds for flights and cruise and it was a huge fee to cancel, so it wasn't worth it. So we started asking around to see if anyone wanted to come with us. My cousin, Katy and her husband found a way to make it work and it was so much fun! I'm glad we ended up doing it. Bahamas was so incredibly beautiful. The water was so clear and blue. I even got a massage on the beach! One of the things on my bucket list I've always wanted to do! It was a great trip! Although we came home with sunburns and 5 extra pounds! haha.
