California // Knott's Berry Farm
We went to California to Knott's Berry Farm, and the Boat Parade last year and decided to make it a tradition, especially since we have Jaxson's, Tanner's and Nicole's birthday all in one week. So we went again this year and it worked out perfectly because my cousin, Shantay, lives about an hour from Knott's, so we spent the first night there with them and then spent the other two nights by the marina. Kaydence got sick on the day we spend biking and the boat parade, so Tanner stayed home with her while we biked, and then we stayed home and watched a movie during the boat parade. I was so sad because she was so excited to see the boat lights, but she really wasn't up for it this year.

California // Knott's Berry Farm & Marina Del Ray
Tanner turned 32 in December and we wanted to go somewhere fun so we went to California with some of my family. We stayed one night in my Dad's sailboat and then 2 more nights in a hotel that we split with my brother. One day we went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was awesome and by awesome, I mean awesome rides, short lines, and a fun and festive atmosphere. The best part was the price! It was so cheap and we really would love to go back again. Kaydence got to ride most of the rides. She was so brave. She did more roller coasters that I did.
The next day we rode our bikes to Venice Beach and all around that area. The weather couldn't be more perfect.
That evening, the county has a fun party in the bay area. There were food trucks, carolers, real snow, ice skating, face painting and then when the sun went down they had a boat parade and fireworks. The best part was it was all free, except the food of course. We found out that it's a yearly event, so we look forward to going again in the future.
Dad decorated the sailboat, and even though we weren't in the parade, we just drove around like we were! haha. Next year we're going to go all out. There were some amazing boats that were pretty awesome. We need to step up our game.
We celebrated the Tanner and Nicole's birthday at El Torito. It was a great day. I'm so grateful for Tanner in my life. He is such a great guy and I couldn't be more blessed.
