Anberlin's Goodbye Tour

Tanner and I started dating back in high school. We met in 2001 and our first date was December 21, 2001. The next year, this band got together. They are amazing and we fell in love with their music. One of their songs we consider to be "our song" called "Inevitable".  Their music has so much meaning and I love it. We started going to their shows from the time they were brand new. As a matter of fact, my very first Anberlin concert was at a tiny venue in Phoenix and I'm pretty certain we were the only ones there for them. It was so fun. We were front center and we were close enough to touch them. We talked to Stephen the lead singer after the show and my crazy cousin asked him if we could have a souvenir from him. He said he didn't have much, but took off his shoes and gave them to us! It was hilarious. I still have the shoes to this day somewhere in my closet. Such good memories! We've been faithful fans from the beginning. 

Sadly, they announced earlier this year that they were going to be releasing their very last album. We had to go to their last and final concert in Phoenix. It was amazing and so much fun! Amazing the difference between the crowds from their beginnings. We didn't get to talk to Stephen, but we talked to Nathan the drummer and Christian the guitarist. 

Farewell Anberlin. We will miss you but your music will live on!
