Day 3 we started off again with group sessions. Kaydence had a particular activity that she will always remember. They talked about worries and how to handle them. They had the kids write their worries on eggs and they got to throw the eggs at a wall. It was so fun and therapeutic for the kids. They also had dolls that they gave them and there were strings that represented their worries, they wrapped the worries around the dolls and left the dolls in the room so they don't need to take their worries with them.
After our sessions, we went to Universal Studios. We got the amazing passes that take us up to the very front of every line. Before we went on the trip, we decided since were going to Harry Potter World again, we probably should watch the movies to see what it's all about. We ended up loving the movies and it made it so much better.
After our awesome day at Universal, they sent the adults back to the hotel to shower and get ready for date night, while the kids got to spend the entire evening with the volunteers at Universal Studios. This evening was very special and one of the most memorable experiences for us. One of the big things Inheritance of Hope focuses on is leaving a legacy for your family and "living intentionally". They allowed us to create a Legacy video for Kaydence and any of our family to watch when we die. Hopefully it will be when we are in our 90's, but no one knows when it's our time to go, so that's when they encourage us to live intentionally and be prepared for the worst possible scenario. They allowed us to have 30 minutes of the video playing for us to talk to Kaydence on the video to say whatever we wanted. It was a very emotional video, but it felt so good to do that and I'm so grateful we did. We laughed, we cried, we told stories, we expressed our love, we gave advice, etc. It was difficult to record but I know Kaydence will be grateful to have it when we die.
This photo was taken immediately after we recorded out legacy video, as you can see our eyes are all sobby and puffy.
They sent us to Benihana for dinner. They even had a gift bag with a gift in it for us when we arrived. We met a really funny couple and they ended up inviting us to stay at their house next time we visit Florida. Pretty sure it was the alcohol talking, but hey you never know!
