Camping in Strawberry 2012

We got to go on our annual camping trip to Strawberry this year even though I am going through chemo. I had promised Kaydence if she could learn to go potty on the toilet we would go camping, so we had to follow through. She was so excited. It was a nice breath of fresh air. The weather was beautiful during the day, cold at night, but I got to sleep in a heated trailer so I was plenty warm. Also we got to see our favorite meadow surrounded by fall trees. It's breathtaking. We brought all 3 doggies with us too and they loved it. 

We had a great time. Crazy thing happened right before we were leaving. We were all going to pack onto the 3 quads and go on a ride to Potato Lake so we all got ready to go. Nicole and Ashton had to go to the bathroom, so they headed to the nearest tree and Nicole got to the point of her pants down then immediately heard cracking way above her head, so she starts running. Ashton saw her running and started laughing which made Nicole laugh. Next this we hear is screaming and crying. We all rush over and a huge branch fell out of the tree and hit her directly on her head. This branch wasn't a little branch. It was thicker than my legs and probably 5 feet long! There was absolutely no wind and she didn't even lean up against the tree. What are the chances of it falling within the 5 seconds she was under the tree, and then it hitting her on the head while she's running! It was crazy, but it's a good story to remember. She's fine, she just had her neck and head hurt for a couple days.
