It's Beginning to Look Alot Like Christmas...

Christmas season is my favorite time of the year, and every year it goes by faster and faster. The day after Thanksgiving is our designated decorating day, so we didn't waste a minute and got up all our decorations so we can enjoy them as long as possible. We crammed a lot of traditions in this year...

Tempe Marketplace does their annual tree lighting, ice skating, and snow fall celebration a couple days before Thanksgiving, so we try to go every year. They have a small ice skating area that they have an ice skating performance and then they light the tree while the snow falls. It's so exciting and Kaydence loves it.

Kaydence and I did a little bit of shopping on Black Friday. I love having my little shopping buddy with me. We have so much fun together.
They opened up the ice skating rink the next day for free ice skating. It was Kaydence's first experience and she loved it. She caught on pretty quick.

Santa visited our house during our annual Nielsen Christmas FHE. This year he looked a lot like Nicole's boyfriend Zac. Kaydence still doesn't like sitting on Santa's lap. She's still scared, even though she knew it was Zac.

We did a lot of looking at Christmas lights this year. Kaydence gets excited about the lights more than she has any other years. There is an awesome street in Chandler that goes all out that we visit every year.

Another one of our favorite locations for looking at lights is the Mesa Temple. On our way to get our yummy QT hot cocoa we got a flat tire. Luckily it didn't blow out, but it was on the verge. Tanner and Dallas got to show us girls how manly they are on the side of the freeway. So glad it happened when Tanner was with me!
We made it safely to the temple and saw the beautiful lights and had the chance to watch the nativity story video in the Visitor's Center. It was a nice even focusing on the true meaning of Christmas.
