Kaydence 4 Years 6 Months - Updates

My little bundle of energy and enthusiasm is 4 and a half years old! She will be turning 5 in November. It's so crazy! She is seriously growing up too quick.

Some of her favorite things:
- Snuggling
- Reading books in bed
- Unicorns, butterflies, and everything girly
- All the avengers and boy stuff (her boy cousins got her all into them)
- Taking pictures just like her Mommy
- Getting her pictures taken
- Preschool with Miss Sarah
- Dance class at Dance Studio C
- Her doggies and pretty much any animals
- Friends
- Cousins
- Bright colors
- Dressing herself
- Long Dresses (we fight every Sunday because she wants to wear her "white long dress" every Sunday)
- Braids
- Necklaces and rings
- Cowgirl boots
- Flower crowns
- Going to the Cabin in Heber
- Grandmas and Grandpas
- Mommy and Daddy
- Jesus and Heavenly Father
- Chocolate milk
- Fruit smoothies

A few random updates about Kaydence:
- She is learning very quickly in Preschool says Miss Sarah
- She LOVE's rhyming. She likes rhyming everything with an F on the word she rhymes. We've had to be careful on this one haha
- Her hair is finally growing in better and she can wear braids and pony tails
- She tells me everyday "Mommy, do you know I love you?". It melts my heart.
- She loves LOVE. She wants to see me and Daddy in love, so she always remind Mommy to tell Daddy she loves him and Daddy to tell Mommy he loves her. It's so sweet. She will also whisper in my hear to give Daddy a kiss when he gets home from work.
- She still is in the habit of telling me "Mommy I have to go potty", instead of just going on her own which she does after she tells me.
- She is a peacemaker when people sound like they may be arguing. Tanner and I are really careful about arguing in front of her, so if we do, she calls us out on it.
- She weighs 40 lbs
- Has a really funny sense of humor. She jokes around a lot with everyone.
- She finds cuteness is pretty much anything and everything just like her Mommy. She loves saying "awwww she's so cute" (very high pitched voice).
- She has a mind of her own
- She's finally starting to warm up to babies and infants. She's had a hard time around them because she isn't around them being an only child, so they annoy her because they can't talk or understand anything haha.
- She asks "what?" after every time we laugh including during movies. She hates being out of the loop and she is very intently listening to everything, so we are very careful about what we say and what we watch when she's in the room.
- She is really big into finding out what's healthy and what's not. She asks it about everything she easts. I once told her how dark chocolate is healthier than milk chocolate. I have a chocolate kisses bowl in my studio. All the purple ones (dark chocolate ones), were disappearing one day. I had to explain to her that eating a lot isn't very healthy haha.
Kaydence seriously is such a sweetheart, even though she has her times, she is the best thing that has happened to Tanner and I. We love her with all of our heart and some! She has brought us so much closer together and has helped out marriage blossom and continues to bless it. We feel such a strong conviction to teach her specifically by our example, which in my opinion is the most influencing way to teach. We are also big on letting her feel like she has freedom so that when she continues to grow and have her own ideas, she doesn't feel so restricted which can cause her to rebel. These small decisions aren't life threatening, but have the effect of giving her freedom. That way when she eventually gets more freedom, she knows how to handle it and how to make right decisions. We are definitely learning as we go but as we teach with love and Christ's example, I think we will feel the best about our parenting without looking back and having too many regrets. We are honored to be her parents.
